If you're reading this, and you're convinced I've been avoiding you, and you've been crying yourself to sleep at night waiting for a reply to your very important email: Pull yourself together! OK, kidding. What I mean to say is I'm sorry, and I promise Real Life things like "my job" and "going to the gym" and "talking to friends and family" will no longer interfere with my NaNo duties.</p> <p>Yes, while you're all a-jittered waiting for the forums to re-open, me and my new ultra-fab assistant Megan are working behind the scenes to get MLs signed up, drop classy (and blindingly (literally) awesome) T-shirts in the mail for the sophomores, and generally wreak havoc for Russ.</p> <p>New MLs! Ever felt like you had waaaaaaaaay too much time in November? Like writing a 50,000-word novel in 30 days was just *too easy*? Like you needed a *real* challenge? You totally want to be a Municipal Liaison! Shoot an email to MLs@nanowrimo.org and we'll hook you up with the best drugs. Er. Not drugs. But you will get first dibs on NaNo goodies!</p> <p>Need more convincing? Check out this stat:<br /> Last year, we had 334 MLs. Of those, 62 percent finished their novels. That's, like, way better than the overall win-rate for NaNo (um, 16 percent?). You're practically guaranteed a win!</p> <p>ML signups will be open through October.
