This was my first nanowrimo. I heard about it two days before it started, and came into it totally blind. I easily got my 50.000 words, and am looking forward to my finished novel. I had a total blast.
For me this worked becasue it is a huge online community, Chris Baty's go-for-broke-attitude, and it inspired me to do something I have always wanted to do, and never knew where to start. And now I know - I can start anywhere! Even nowhere! Because all that matters is the words make it to the page.
I have ordered my winners t shirt. I have made my money contribution (the first week we started). And now i've contributed 50,000 words to a 1.5 billion word count. Could I feel any better about myself? Thanks everyone at the Office of Light and Letters. I love you!
