Wearing Your Heart Under Your Sleeve

How dedicated are you to NaNoWriMo?

Our Municipal Liaison for Springfield, Missouri is committed enough to get inked.

Gayle's got a NaNoWriMo tattoo on her inner right forearm that she wears as a proud reminder of her three NaNoWins (so far!). Sure, non-novelists think it's a bit curious but how different is it than writing a novel in a month.

Go for four wins, Gayle!

Anyone else have a nontraditional way of demonstrating their NaNoWriMo wins?

If I ever got a tattoo, I'd get one that related to NaNo. :-D

Very cool!

Gayle - I converted it to a JPG because I thought that was the trouble. The weird thing is that I can see it ... but no one else seems to be able to!

I dropped in to see how popular I'd become [kidding, kidding], and there seems to be picture trouble. I present another link, this one will hopefully work properly.

That will hopefully work. I think the reason it's not showing here is because it's in .png, and the site has a grudge. :)

I know someone who had a tatt of the Stargate Earth symbol put on the back of her neck...it was *big*, too.

That is hardcore, to have a tattoo done! (and where's the picture of it?)

2005 was a washout for me because I was driving over the road. Now, I am working at home full time as a writer, and have scheduled NaNo 2006 since April 8th, 2006. I retired, and "hung up" the keys. I am also now a full-time online adult student, working to complete my Doctorate In IT (to graduate in April, 2008).

But, what really matters is that I and just a whole gang of really wild, nutty, wonderful people just completed the NaNoPubYe 2006: 25k in two weeks.

Now that I'm cruisin', I gotta ride the bench for two weeks or so. So, 2006 is just gonna be sooo cool. I've got like 8 or 10 friends to do NaNo this year that have never done it, before.

The stories are wonderful, but the reality of it is that I am chompin' at the bit, two plots, brand new computer and writing s/w, and, umm........

Oh yeah, lots of nano-cookies!! I think I actually have enough, this time.

Wow. I bow before her superior NaNo power. If she's looking for more tattoos, she could always start doing stars around the NaNo icon - one star for every time she's won. Sort of like a general's stars.

I am a wimp! one sight of the needle and that would be the end of the tattoo :)I settle for boasting, and boring folk to death about it.
But would love to see piccy?

I like the logo, but I'm biased having spent all of highschool on the track and cross country teams. I have one tatoo too, but it's not even close to as cool as that. Way to dedicate yourself to the cause.

Wow, a tattoo? That's hardcore.

I tend to do the normal things... brag, talk about, edit, complain, wear the "i write books" pins from last year.

But wow. Rock on, girlfriend.

Shouldn't there be 3 tattoos then? ;)

Oy vey! I've always wanted a tat but could never settle on exactly what I wanted... a little Nano icon might be just the thing! Coolness.
