Last weekend there was a Write-In near where I live, and I was so unhappy that I missed it! That looks like so much fun--meeting new people, seeing all these amazing stories (and the word counts to go with them) and getting some major wordage for the day. I'm still really behind on my word count, but I will NOT be defeated!

See, now you make those of us on the East Coast feel like we're missing something. We can't even get three people together on a good day for a solid write-in back here!

Next on your ever-expanding agenda: Taking these write-ins out on tour! :)

I had so much fun at the Write-o-thon! I met some great people and was amazed at some of the word counts. I almost got caught up and created 4k words of my own. Not the highest by far but I broke through major writers block and as you say, it didn't all suck; in fact it quite un-sucked. Thank you so much Chris, it was great to see the faces behind the names and look forward to doing it again next year.

...now, as I sit here in the sun writing on my laptop in the downunder summer, I find it very, very strange that I have a strong urge to hop on a plane to the distinctly autumnal bay area... but DAMN, that looks like a blast.

Doing good, team. So jealous...
